RESORT AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Please note: without prior and special permission Swiss helicopters are not allowed to fly other countries internal flights i.e. French airports to French ski resorts, this also applies vice versa French helicopters are not allowed to fly internal Swiss flights. However, they are allowed to fly from one country to another. A prime example of this would be Geneva Contrin International airport (Genf) in Switzerland, which is a major gateway not only to the Swiss Alps but also to the French Alps.
Examples of country to country flights would include; Geneva airport to Courchevel, Swiss airport to French ski resort or Courchevel to St Moritz - French ski resort to Swiss ski resort. When a helicopter crosses country borders it may be necessary for the helicopter to briefly stop somewhere for customs on the way to the final destination. Courchevel Heliport has its own Duane (Customs) so if the destination resort in the different country has its own customs i.e. St Moritz (Samedan) it can be a direct non-stop flight. If the destination resort in the different country does not have its own customs i.e. Zermatt the helicopter will have to fly somewhere that does have customs en-route i.e. Sion before reaching its final destination Zermatt.
Whether you just want a day skiing or boarding in a different resort or maybe you have friends in another ski resort that you wish to visit - Zermatt, Davos, Verbier, Gstaad, or even Courchevel, Megeve, Val d'Isere in France. Whatever your reasons Inter-Resort helicopter transfers are a fast, effective and a very exciting means of getting to and from Davos to another resort of your choice.
The helicopter is ideal if you and a small group of people want to make the most of your free day in a different ski domain or resort. A helicopter can get you there for lift opening and allows a full days riding (skiing or boarding) before possibly catching the helicopter back before it gets dark - that's if you wish to come back.
Every ski resort in the world has a helipad (Drop Zone, DZ) of some shape or form. This could be a properly marked out pad or an area that can be used if or when the time arises in which a helicopter may need to land. Unfortunately, not all the helipads can be used for dropping off members of the public. Many are reserved just for use by the emergency services.
Whitetracks Helicopters can quote you for a helicopter from Zermatt to ski resorts, towns, cities, villages or airports within Switzerland, France, Italy or Austria. If there is an airport, city, town, village or ski resort that we have not mentioned please contact Zermatt Helicopters. If we cannot organise a flight direct to or from Zermatt to your chosen destination - Zermatt Helicopters will provide you with the best alternative for the flight requested!
